Dr. Hernandez is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine. He received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston,Texas. Later, he completed an internship and residency program in Internal Medicine at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island. After residency, Dr. Hernandez continued his post-graduate training at LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans, Louisiana and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas where he completed a Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine. Before coming to the Central Texas area, Dr. Hernandez practiced pulmonary medicine with the Texas Pulmonary & Critical Care Consultants in Fort Worth, Texas. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Hernandez takes pride in his Texas heritage.
